During my recent trip to Talgarth, I had the pleasure of staying at the charming cottage owned by Martyn and Jo. Situated in the heart of the village, yet tucked away in a quiet corner, the location was perfect for exploring the beauty of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. The cottage itself was a delightful blend of modern comfort and traditional character. Every detail had been carefully considered, from the tasteful decor to the well-equipped kitchen. I found the small garden area to be a peaceful oasis where I could relax after a day of exploring the surrounding countryside. Martyn and Jo were exceptional hosts, welcoming and friendly, ensuring that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. They had thought of everything, providing little treats that added a special touch to the experience. the cottage was warm and cozy, with ample hot water for a relaxing bath after a long day of hiking. One of the highlights of my stay was the interesting working mill located at the rear of the property. the owners and volunteers were happy to share the history of the mill, adding to the overall charm of the place. the fresh bread from the bakery was a delightful treat, and I enjoyed exploring the local shops and pubs in the village. In terms of dining facilities, the cottage had a well-equipped kitchen for those who enjoy cooking on holiday. There were also options for dining out in the village, with a pub offering delicious food and a fish & chip shop for a quick takeaway. Overall, my stay at Martyn and Jo's cottage was a memorable experience. the combination of excellent service, thoughtful facilities, and beautiful surroundings made it a perfect base for exploring the stunning landscapes of Talgarth. I am already looking forward to planning my next trip back to this lovely little village at the foot of the Black Mountains.
